Benchmarking the insourced OCIO to international peers
Scope
Key question was to benchmark its incumbent insourced OCIO provider (> euros 35 bn) to an external range of global peers on various KPI’s.
Client
Sponsor of multinational company with pension Trustees in different countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.
Key deliverables
Based on this exercise our client decided that a formal tender would not be necessary and the existing contract needed to be renegotiated.
Approach
We have interviewed the key stakeholders of the client to investigate their expectations via short video calls.
Subsequently we agreed a set of evaluation criteria which were important to our client and invited 12 international peers for an RFI process. Following a first ranking we continued the exercise with the 3 top contenders conducting site visits and running real life cases studies to get aa solid feeling of the differences.
